LONDON FRENCH DAY CARE CENTRE INC. is accepting applications for a bilingual French/English Supervisor for Garderie Beaux Sourires located in Sarnia.

The Centre has capacity for 6 infants, 10 toddlers and 16 preschool.
The supervisor will be responsible to supervise the child care program at the centre.
Hours per week: 37.5 hours/week.
Salary: Competitive, Negociable
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Position Description
Reporting to the Coordinator of childcare services at London French Day Care Centre Inc., the incumbent will be responsible for the supervision of childcare services, meeting the requirements of the Ministry of Education and the local public health office.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Establish and supervise a learning program based on Ontario's "How Does Learning Happen?" Ontario Pedagogy;
- Clearly communicate the centre's expectations regarding educators' responsibilities, ensuring that they are familiar with routines and relevant information about children and families (e.g., allergies, health problems, conflict management, programming of learning activities, etc.).
- Ensure that emergency procedures and reporting obligations are understood by all classroom personnel;
- Participate in team meetings and provide activity reports;
- Update policies and procedures according to Ministry of Education requirements;
- Ensure that the program statement is implemented at all times;
- Organize the classroom personnel schedules;
- In collaboration with the coordinator, establish and maintain the centre's routine based on existing policies and procedures;
- Offer training, support sessions and conduct performance evaluations of classroom personnel, volunteers and students;
- Document the progress and difficulties encountered by employees, volunteers and students under your supervision;
- Contribute to conflict resolution where appropriate;
- Cover planned absences and vacations;
- Make decisions based on centre policies and procedures;
- Check daily that the ratio is correct in each class;
- Support educators to help them provide quality childcare services;
- Carry out any other tasks required by the centre to maintain or improve the quality of service offered.
Job requirements:
- Early childhood program diploma or willingness to pursue the diploma;
- 2 years experience working in a childcare centre;
- First aid certificate and CPR for infants;
- Have a clean Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
Skills required:
- Fluency in spoken and written French and English;
- Good computer skills - Microsoft Word and Outlook;
- Good leadership skills and adaptability;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Good problem solving and time management skills;
- Team player and able to work without supervision.
